How to read the results
We send several requests and report the minimum, average, and maximum total response time, plus each individual sample. Lower and more consistent is generally better, but interpret alongside geography and caching.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as ping?
No. This measures the time for a full HTTP request/response over the web — it is not an ICMP ping. The values include connection setup and server processing.
Why does the time vary?
Server caching, CDN edges, and the network path between our server and the target all affect the result. A single measurement is not a full performance assessment.
Do you show a DNS/TLS breakdown?
Only when it can be measured reliably. In this environment we report the honest total response time rather than fabricating per-phase numbers.
